  • The collaboration was announced by the Hellmann's UK Social Team, and no price, sale date or public availability has been disclosed.

Hellmann's has joined forces with Irish luxury accessories brand Maya Grisham to turn its mayonnaise jar into a hand-crystallised handbag, a one-of-a-kind piece that keeps the shape and label of the famous jar while covering it in sparkle. Instead of making a bag in the brand's colours, the designer has reimagined the jar itself as the accessory, so the familiar shape and label that sit in fridges across the country now become something to carry to dinner.

Hellmann's commissioned the piece from Maya Grisham, the label founded by designer and creative director Kimberly Tino, which specialises in hand-crystallised statement handbags, minaudières and accessories inspired by cultural icons and popular culture. No price, release date or public availability has been announced for the bag, so for now the jar exists as a single showpiece that people can admire in photographs and in the brand's social posts.

Kimberly Tino, founder and creative director of Maya Grisham, said, "Working with Hellmann's has been such an exciting collaboration for Maya Grisham," before adding, "It's an iconic brand that so many of us instantly recognise." She also explained the appeal of the brief by saying, "I love taking everyday icons and transforming them into something completely unexpected", which neatly describes what happens when a jar of mayonnaise is given the full crystal treatment. Their earlier collections include crystal versions of pints of beer, Kerrygold butter and Quality Street chocolates, which means the mayonnaise jar now joins a growing shelf of supermarket and pub favourites that have been rebuilt as evening bags.

The designer behind the label is Kimberly Tino Mushayabasa, who was born in Zimbabwe, moved to Ireland at the age of three and now lives in Kells in County Meath, where she runs the brand while studying optometry. Her breakthrough came in August 2025 when she posted a concept for a Kerrygold-inspired bag and asked her followers whether she should make a prototype. The response persuaded her to apply more than 7,000 Swarovski crystals by hand, and the bag went viral before Kerrygold commissioned a personalised version for the singer CMAT, which was seen at the Mercury Prize in London in November 2025.

The label has also made a custom bag for Sabrina Carpenter with Johnnie Walker that was shown at the Grammy Awards, a garlic dip bag with Domino's Pizza and a limited range for Avoca stores at Christmas, which shows how readily brands have adopted its formula. For Hellmann's, the bag follows its September 2024 partnership with London label Chopova Lowena, when the two brands created the Margaret bag at London Fashion Week, named after co-founder Margaret Hellmann and fitted with compartments for a jar of mayonnaise and a Victorian spoon.
