Two men in caps sit in a car, one holding a wrapped sandwich, staring at each other with tense expressions.

Key Takeaways

  • Dieux and Fishwife have created the limited-edition Good Taste Forever Eye Mask.

  • The reusable medical-grade silicone patches feature blue sardine artwork by Fishwife illustrator Danny Miller.

  • The $25 masks are stored inside a collectable tin inspired by Fishwife’s colourful seafood packaging.

  • A $69 Glowing Skin Bundle combines the eye masks with three tins of Fishwife Sardines with Preserved Lemon.

A skincare brand and a tinned fish company may not sound like the most obvious beauty pairing, but Dieux and Fishwife have discovered that a reusable eye mask and a beautifully illustrated sardine tin have rather more in common than expected. Their limited-edition Good Taste Forever Eye Mask covers Dieux’s bestselling silicone patches with tiny blue sardines before storing them inside packaging that looks as though it could have been lifted directly from Fishwife’s shelves. The collaboration turns an existing similarity between the brands into a product that feels surprising at first and completely logical once it is in front of you - and the imagery to go along with the collection? ICONIC

Dieux and Fishwife turn reusable eye masks into a beauty product worth preserving

The $25 release uses the same thin, non-slip medical-grade silicone as Dieux’s original Forever Eye Mask, which is placed over an eye cream or serum to hold the product close to the skin, support absorption and increase hydration. The patches can then be washed, returned to their tin and used again, replacing the disposable under-eye masks commonly found in single-use packets.

Fishwife’s original illustrator Danny Miller has redrawn the patches with animated blue sardines, carrying the artwork across both the masks and their custom storage case. Even the product language has been adapted to the collaboration, with customers encouraged to prepare, simmer and serve their skincare routine before preserving the masks for next time.

The two brands have also created a $69 Glowing Skin Bundle containing the eye masks and three tins of Fishwife Sardines with Preserved Lemon. It extends the visual joke into a real product pairing while giving the collaboration a straightforward ‘inside and out’ story, bringing together Fishwife’s omega-3-rich sardines and Dieux’s hydrating under-eye ritual.

Why The PR Insider loves it

We love collaborations that suddenly make two familiar products look as though they were always meant to sit side by side, and the fact that Dieux’s eye masks already come in a little tin makes this one feel almost inevitable once you see it. The sardine artwork is fun and distinctive, but it is the Glowing Skin Bundle that really commits to the idea, pairing skincare with preserved fish without overcomplicating the reason for either brand's presence.
