Readers of A Court of Thorns and Roses have spent years arguing over Prythian's courts, and Knix has now given them a way to wear their loyalties, as the intimates brand launched a limited-edition collection of lingerie, sleepwear and leakproof underwear built around Sarah J. Maas's bestselling fantasy series on 15 October. The partnership is Knix's first book-inspired collection, and it also marks the brand's first move into corsetry and eveningwear, which makes a romantasy saga set among rival faerie courts a fitting place to start.

The collection draws on characters that fans already know by heart, with Nesta, Feyre, Amren and Morrigan each inspiring a piece, and Knix packed the range with small references for devoted readers to spot, from foxes and eyes to coral and fire, so the more closely someone has read the books, the more they are likely to find hidden in the fabric.

Knix x ACOTAR prices pieces from $25 socks to a $125 Morrigan slip across five Court prints

The 82-piece collection is built around five new silhouettes, each tied to a character or a moment from the books, with a belted corset inspired by Nesta, satin and lace slip dresses based on Amren and Morrigan and a Starfall Robe and Slip set with sheer panels. Sheer skirts come paired with either the Feyre Lace Teddy or the Elain Lace Thong Bodysuit, while the five exclusive prints are called Spring Court Bloom, Velaris Night Sky, Ink That Binds, Autumn Tapestry and Ember Fox, and Adriata Toile.

Fans who would rather not commit to a corset can pick up Knix's leakproof underwear, bras and sleepwear in Court artwork or choose from tees, sweatshirts, socks and tote bags, and the prices on launch ranged from $25 for a two-pack of embroidered socks and $48 for a Super Leakproof Mini Dream Boxer to $74 for the Court of Nightmares Lace Teddy, $115 for a full-length satin robe and $125 for The Morrigan Satin and Lace Slip. A set of enigmatic dates printed on the back of the Oversized Graphic T-Shirt has also got fans talking, as readers try to work out what they might point to in the books.

Jules Power, VP of Design at Knix, said the design team immersed themselves in the books and the details that matter to fans, adding that "The result is a collection where the references are there for those who know, but the pieces stand beautifully on their own."

The collection launched online at Knix's dedicated ACOTAR page and in person at a consumer pop-up at Lavan Chelsea in New York which ran from midday until 8pm with fandom programming, a musical guest and gifts available only that day. Knix also partnered with 30 BookTok creators, with more content planned for the weeks after launch. Nicole Tapscott, President of Knix, made her own place in that community clear, saying "ACOTAR fans are some of the most passionate people on the internet, and I'm one of them," before adding "I've read every book, and getting to bring this world into our products has been a dream."

Knix timed the ACOTAR drop to the 27 October release of A Court of Splintered Harmony and plans a Spring Court sequel for January 2027

The launch landed less than two weeks before A Court of Splintered Harmony, the sixth book in the series, arrives on 27 October, and Knix has already announced that it will return to Prythian in January 2027 with a second chapter inspired by the Spring Court, timed to the seventh book. The idea started inside the business, as chief marketing officer Cyntia Leo explained that 40 Knix employees who were self-proclaimed fans of the books expressed interest in a collaboration, before a social media survey and customer email put ACOTAR top of the franchises shoppers wanted Knix to work with. The brand then spent 18 months developing the collection, worked with a local artist on the prints and ran the designs past members of the series' fan club before revealing a landing page and waitlist on 5 October.

Knix is far from the only brand trying to reach this audience during the build-up to book six, because the franchise has sold more than 75 million copies globally since 2015 and has become a fixture on BookTok. Target and fragrance brand Fine'ry both launched ACOTAR ranges on 11 October after Funko figures arrived in September, which leaves Knix competing for attention in a very crowded Prythian. Knix's range leans into the corsetry, lingerie and eveningwear the brand had never sold before, and Leo said the response to those new silhouettes would help the company weigh up future opportunities in these categories, so the corsets and slips also act as a test of how far a leakproof underwear brand can stretch.

Romance readers have become a reliable target for brands this autumn, and Fireball recently hid its new whisky inside a romantasy book, another launch that treated the genre's fans as a ready-made community with its own rituals, bookshops and in-jokes. Knix has now taken that thinking into intimates, where a character-inspired corset sits closer to the books' romantic spirit than most fan merchandise.
