Key Takeaways

  • Louis Vuitton house ambassador Callum Turner fronts the Spring-Summer 2027 men's Trunk Edition campaign, which features a Rhodesian Ridgeback as his companion.

  • Gregory Harris photographed the portraits and short film on film in New York, casting Turner as a business traveller taking time for himself.

  • The collection is Pharrell Williams' second Trunk Edition, built on shirts, trousers and jackets in cotton silk poplin, cashmere vicuña and indigo-washed denim.

  • The pieces have been on sale in Louis Vuitton stores and online worldwide since 24 September 2026, with the campaign unveiled on 14 October.

Louis Vuitton has once again handed Callum Turner a dog for company, as the British actor and house ambassador stars in the Spring-Summer 2027 men's Trunk Edition campaign alongside a Rhodesian Ridgeback in New York, where Turner plays a well-dressed business traveller who has stepped away from his obligations to enjoy a little personal time.

The campaign, which Louis Vuitton unveiled on 14 October, is made up of cinematic portraits and a short film shot on film by photographer Gregory Harris, and it follows Turner through a series of small personal rituals that include a game of chess, the newspaper, afternoon tea and a spot of golf putting, so the clothes are shown in slow, leisurely moments instead of a boardroom.

It is the latest outing in a run of dog friendly Louis Vuitton imagery for Turner, who was surrounded by Corgis, Collies and Spaniels in the brand's pre-collection campaign last autumn, and the Ridgeback now brings that same four-legged company to a quieter city shoot built around a single dog.

The Spring-Summer 2027 collection is the second Trunk Edition designed by Men's Creative Director Pharrell Williams, and it concentrates on wardrobe essentials such as classic shirts, trousers and jackets, which are cut from crisp cotton silk poplin, double-face cashmere vicuña and cotton cashmere denim with an indigo wash. The focus on materials shapes the way the campaign has been photographed, with Harris working in close-up compositions that pick out finishing details while Turner reads the news, takes tea, practises his putt and freshens up, with the dog appearing in the scenes where he simply spends time with his companion.

The short film builds a scene around a game of chess and brings a touch of dry humour to the story, which suits a campaign about a traveller who has decided that the most important appointment of the day is the one he has made with himself. Shooting in New York also gives the collection a city setting, so the Trunk Edition is shown as a working wardrobe that moves between business and pleasure without needing a change of outfit.

The collection has been available in stores and online worldwide since 24 September 2026, which means the campaign arrived three weeks after the pieces themselves had landed. The Trunk name refers back to Louis Vuitton's first creation, a canvas trunk from 1854, and the earlier Trunk Edition arrived in February with an autumn winter 2026 wardrobe built around transitional dressing, so this second instalment carries the same travel led thinking into a warmer season

Callum Turner joined Louis Vuitton as house ambassador in 2024 and walked Corgis and Collies for its Spring-Summer 2026 pre-collection

Turner's relationship with the house started well before his acting career took off, as he walked in Louis Vuitton's spring/summer 2009 show, and when he was named house ambassador in November 2024 he spoke about enjoying "the full circle part of joining the guys" while also saying "I love Pharrell in everything he does," which showed how much of his affection for the brand comes down to Williams. That history gives the Trunk Edition casting a continuity that runs from the runway through to Williams' current tenure, and Turner, who is now 36, has since become one of the regular faces of the menswear line.

The dog in this campaign also has a clear predecessor, because last October Louis Vuitton cast Turner alongside Jude Bellingham in the Men's Spring-Summer 2026 Pre-Collection campaign, which was photographed and filmed by Oliver Hadlee Pearch in a British setting of topiary gardens, monument steps and a classic convertible. That shoot introduced a pet accessory capsule with leashes, collars, harnesses, puffer jackets and travel carriers such as the Speedy Pet Trunk and the Malle Chien, and Welsh Corgis, English Cocker Spaniels and Border Collies modelled them as Turner walked them through the countryside.

Dogs have become a familiar presence in New York fashion marketing, as Etsy recently put adoptable dogs on a Fashion Week runway for a pet collection made with independent sellers, although Louis Vuitton's Ridgeback is cast as a quiet companion to a single traveller instead of the star of a show.

Turner's screen career continues alongside his fashion work, as his upcoming projects include the lead role in Apple TV+'s adaptation of William Gibson's Neuromancer and the baseball drama The Comebacker opposite Tom Hanks, which means the business traveller he plays for Louis Vuitton may soon have a much busier schedule than the one shown in this campaign.
