Key Takeaways

  • Cup Noodles, the instant noodle brand from Nissin Foods, has launched limited-edition Vampire Noodles for Halloween.

  • The Hot Garlic Chicken noodles turn blood-red when hot water is added, thanks to natural beet colouring.

  • A custom Vampire Noodles casket made with Titan Casket costs $3,999, with a deep maroon gloss finish and an "It's to Die For" head panel.

  • The noodles cost $1.18 at Walmart nationwide from 24 September 2026 while supplies last; the casket is sold at TitanCasket.com and offered in a giveaway on @originalcupnoodles on Instagram and TikTok.

Cup Noodles has found a new way to make a $1.18 lunch feel like a matter of life and death.

For Halloween, Nissin Foods released Vampire Noodles, a Hot Garlic Chicken flavour that turns blood red when hot water is added, before taking the theme somewhere nobody reasonably expected an instant noodle brand to go. Alongside the Walmart exclusive, Cup Noodles worked with Titan Casket to create a matching $3,999 coffin that people could genuinely buy.

The result brings together two products sitting at completely opposite ends of the purchasing spectrum, with an affordable cup of noodles supplying the garlic and a full sized collector’s coffin providing somewhere suitably dramatic for any unfortunate vampires to recover afterwards.

Cup Noodles Vampire Noodles launched exclusively at Walmart on 24 September 2026, priced at $1.18 and available across the US while stocks last. The choice of Hot Garlic Chicken gives the Halloween release a connection that goes beyond changing the graphics on the packaging, because garlic is already so closely tied to vampire folklore that the flavour becomes part of the joke without feeling like something that only makes sense because it happens to be October.

The transformation begins once hot water is poured into the cup, as the noodles and broth take on a blood red colour from natural beetroot. A preparation process that most people could manage half asleep therefore becomes the main reveal of the launch, since anybody making a cup can watch an ordinary looking portion of instant noodles turn noticeably more sinister as it cooks.

That change also lends itself to TikTok, Instagram Reels and other short form video. A photograph of the finished bowl shows off the unusual colour, but filming the moment the water goes in captures the whole transformation, and it does so without asking anybody to follow an elaborate recipe, enter a challenge or produce a polished piece of content.

Priscila Stanton, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Nissin Foods, said Halloween gave the company the perfect moment to create something unexpected, with the blood red transformation and bold Hot Garlic Chicken flavour turning an everyday meal into a more memorable seasonal experience.

Titan Casket created a $3,999 coffin for the Vampire Noodles launch

Alongside the Walmart release, Cup Noodles has worked with Titan Casket on a full sized collector's coffin designed around the same vampire theme. It has a deep maroon gloss finish, with the Cup Noodles emblem on the lid running into a dripping blood detail, while inside a black crushed velvet head panel carries the phrase "It's to Die For", tying the object back to both the product and the occasion.

Titan Casket sells coffins directly to consumers, so the piece is a real, usable casket and not a prop made only for the campaign photography. It is listed on Titan Casket's website for $3,999, which means somebody can order exactly the coffin shown in the launch materials, although the gap between a $1.18 cup of noodles and a purchase demanding considerably more money, commitment and floor space is very much part of the story.

For anybody unwilling to spend several thousand dollars on branded Halloween furniture, Cup Noodles is also running a competition through its Instagram and TikTok channels, where followers can enter for the chance to win one of the coffins. The giveaway carries the centrepiece of the campaign beyond the launch photographs and into the brand's social activity, while the noodles themselves remain something people can taste, review and film at home.

Vampires are familiar territory for Titan Casket, a Massachusetts company founded by Josh Siegel and Scott Ginsberg. In December 2024 it made a custom casket with Focus Features for Robert Eggers' Nosferatu, timed to the film's Christmas Day release and also priced at $3,999. The company has built much of its reputation on this kind of marketing, including a darkly funny ad made with Ryan Reynolds' agency Maximum Effort, starring David Dastmalchian and calling for an end to daylight saving time. It has also sold a $19.99 plush coffin mascot called Mort and launched its own energy drink, Awake, with the line "Best served cold before you are", all in service of its stated aim of making conversations about death and funeral planning feel less taboo.

Cup Noodles, for its part, has previously used limited edition flavours to place instant noodles inside seasonal moments such as Thanksgiving and Halloween, but this partnership brings in a specialist from a category the brand would never ordinarily enter. Cup Noodles supplies the flavour, the recognisable packaging and the vampire concept, while Titan Casket brings both the craftsmanship and its experience of turning coffins into pop culture.
