GANNI and Hunter make unpredictable weather considerably more stylish

Key Takeaways
GANNI and Hunter have launched their first limited-edition collection of footwear, clothing and accessories for unpredictable weather.
The 11-piece range combines Hunter’s weatherproof expertise with GANNI’s colourful Copenhagen style.
Products include tall Wellington boots, Balmoral ankle boots, waterproof ponchos, bucket hats, an umbrella and a protective poncho for GANNI’s Bou bag.
The collection uses leopard print, dark green, brown and bright yellow across pieces designed for both urban journeys and countryside escapes.
Photographed by Philip Messman around Copenhagen Harbour, the campaign presents wet-weather dressing as an opportunity for self-expression rather than an inconvenience.
GANNI and Hunter are giving people a reason to look forward to rain with a first collection that makes dressing for unpredictable weather considerably more expressive.
The limited-edition range brings Hunter’s 170 years of weather-ready design together with GANNI’s colourful Copenhagen style, transforming practical boots, ponchos and accessories through leopard print, bright yellow, deep green and exaggerated proportions. Rather than creating rainwear that disappears into an outfit, the two brands have made it the part people are most likely to notic
GANNI x Hunter covers everything from Wellington boots to handbags

The 11-piece collection begins with Hunter’s most recognisable product, offering adjustable Downpour Wellington boots in dark green and GANNI’s signature leopard print. Shorter Balmoral ankle boots are also available in brown and leopard, giving the collaboration a style that can move more naturally between wet countryside walks and everyday city wear.
Among the other main products available, there are three waterproof ponchos, accompanied by coordinating water-resistant bucket hats and a bright yellow umbrella finished with leopard-print detailing. The pieces have been designed to work together, allowing customers to create a complete wet-weather look rather than adding one practical item to an otherwise unrelated outfit.
The most playful product is a £50 water-resistant poncho created for GANNI’s Mini and Small Bou bags. Complete with curved openings for the handles, green trim and collaborative branding, it protects the bag while dressing it in a miniature version of the clothing worn by its owner.
The price of the collection ranges from £50 for the bag cover to £330 for the waterproof ponchos, with the collection also including £110 bucket hats, £210 tall boots, £310 ankle boots and a £90 umbrella.
The campaign was photographed by Philip Messman around Copenhagen Harbour, and features models wearing the collection beside the water and on the city’s docks. The location places the clothes somewhere between an urban commute and a trip towards the coast, reinforcing the idea that weather-ready clothing can belong in both environments.
Why GANNI and Hunter make sense as collaborators
Hunter gives the collection genuine technical credibility, its longstanding association with waterproof footwear means GANNI can experiment with bolder colours, shapes and prints without the products feeling like fashion pieces that have only been styled to resemble practical rainwear.
GANNI gives Hunter an equally useful opportunity to reinterpret that heritage for a more fashion-focused customer. Leopard print and unexpected colour combinations already belong to the Danish brand’s visual identity, so their appearance across Wellington boots and waterproof clothing feels recognisable rather than added purely to make the collaboration look different.
GANNI Creative Director Ditte Reffstrup described the partnership as a meeting between Hunter’s British history and GANNI’s Copenhagen perspective, explaining that she liked the idea of practical products becoming the most expressive pieces in an outfit.
Why The PR Insider loves it
I mean it's as simple as we love GANNI and Hunter, and this collaboration features some gorgeous products. However, from a non-biased perspective, the collaboration makes complete sense before anyone needs to explain it. Hunter knows how to handle miserable weather, while GANNI knows how to stop practical clothing from looking miserable with it.
